Here’s a paw-sitively crazy scoop, but not necessarily a secret: I’m a canine lover! So much so that I’ve written one of my pups into The Therans series. His name is Tesla, and like my story there are different legends around my pup’s name.

First, my dog was named after a scientist, Nikola Tesla—I love science and history.

Initially, I aimed to depict Callie, my main character, as intelligent in the story, which is why she chose to name her puppy Tesla. Additionally, it served as a shared interest for her conversation with Trystan, the hero of the story. Moreover, the captivating and mysterious legends surrounding Tesla infused a sense of intrigue, intensifying the overall storytelling experience.

There’s a famous legend surrounding the eccentric Nikola Tesla. Supposedly, the scientist had an earthquake machine in his Manhattan home. Well, apparently, he nearly brought down the neighborhood during one of his experiments. This earthquake machine was a high-frequency oscillator.

Of course, most things I write about deal with fiction, but could you imagine if this technology existed? Hmmm … this gives me ideas of new things to write. And for all you fact-checkers, I did Google the subject matter. Yep, and leave it to me, I love to twist legends and do this in my stories, too.
